He does not shy away from employing more contemporary equipment to achieve the desired look, but is strongly minded never to be compromised by it. He is also a real advocate of restoration, taking the view that all things are salvageable whatever their condition or however much – or little – remains.
Firmly believing that the finish is as important as the making, John offers a complete range of finishes from polished rust to gold leaf. He also undertakes repousse work in either copper or steel.
