I love the simplicity of these old latches. An early introduction of a manufactured door handle with a gun metal finish. These examples have a simple lock as well and are either left or right handed. A set of twelve to restore for one house, very unique.

Yet another Suffolk Latch. A large one for an outside door.

 I actually lathed this to a blank and then it’s forged for authenticity. It’s all in the finish

For a bit of fun I get creative sometimes. I made this clock from scrap and old printing blocks (hence numbers are reversed). It sold in the first week!

A feature on windows in Homebuilding and Renovating included a write up and images of my repair and reproduction of metal casements.

Situated just of the ‘Hill’ in the Market town of Framlingham the Victorian façade of my gallery belies a much older property. For some reason this building luckily survived while all around those around it were replaced with late 19th Century red brick properties.

A Norfolk Latch has a back plate unlike the Suffolk Latch. One of these three is a restored original and the other two are copies.

At last I got around to making some iron wheels after many requests. These have many uses, Chicken Huts, Shepherds huts, old style mobile fencing all sizes and styles to suit.

A lady brought a lovely old fashioned child’s sledge to my gallery and wanted two more to match exactly. Here are the results made with complete authentic construction.
